Transforming failures & frustrations into new possibilities

Being a overcomer
Failure isn’t the end of the line! If you still have breath in your body, you have the chance to move forward and grow through any experience.
I want you to not just cope but learn from failures. Failure and frustration can be re-engineered into the very things that make you wiser, stronger, more resilient, and better equipped to fulfil your destiny.
Moving Forward
Six important things to do when moving forward after a setback
1. Figure out what went wrong
Sometimes we aren’t at fault, but more often than not we carry at least some of the responsibility. By identifying missteps, you can also connect with a hard-earned lesson that will leave you stronger and smarter.
2. Don’t succumb to regrettable words or behaviour
When things make a turn for the worst, it may seem you're entitled to let off some steam, feel justified, maybe feel like a victim left feeling powerless due to what happened. But realise what it’s costing you by choosing to not move on, forgive and let go because it’s costing you something! Stay committed to a life of integrity, joy and most of all—love.
3. Observe your thoughts
This is important always but more so after a setback of any kind. That inner critic conversation that takes place within your mind will form a default reaction that will not serve you well in overcoming and moving forward in a positive way.
4. Be kind to yourself
Know you are worth it, regardless of what took place. Do not fall into the trap of comparing yourself to others, instead acknowledge your positive attributes and continue to believe in yourself.
5. Surround yourself with the right people
Those that will pull you up speak encouragement to you. Not those that leave you feeling defeated or drained.
6. Face forward
Failure is often the starting point for new and unexpected opportunities. Many great inventions have been created, successful businesses have been started, and adventures have begun out of the ashes of defeat. So face towards what’s next, and don’t stay stuck in what was. This way you won’t miss the groundwork being laid that will propel you into what’s next!
Keep asking yourself “Is what I’m thinking, doing or saying currently, going to forward me to where I wish to be?”
Day by day, your story is being written
Don’t let a defeat stop you from stepping into the plan for your life. This is your opportunity to be an overcomer, eager to face tomorrow in spite of what happened yesterday!
Trust me it is possible to move forward and to recover with grace and integrity. It just requires effort on your part. I myself have had a few setbacks between a Cancer diagnose, a broken marriage after 27yrs and most recently falling prey to a business scam in which I invested a large sum of money into and was promised a great return… (Foolish I know but we live and we learn.) My point is life happens, it’s not always pleasant or fair or easy, but it’s how we choose to navigate our way through which is most important.
