From time to time in life you may feel stuck that you have things to do or would like to do but are not making much progress.  Welcome to Procrastination.

Pay close attention because the answer may not be what you think.

Study was carried out an found that the real reason why you procrastinate is due to lack of “emotion regulation management skills” don’t switch off just yet.

Think about it, take look at people who are naturally confident they are able to overcome procrastination and all the “buts” most of us will put up.

Problem is most people don’t really know what it means to be confident. It’s not superficial where you put on a persona to look confident or knowing that you’re pretty good at something. Deep confidence is an inner sense coming from a reference point of no matter what I’m going through or feeling I’m going to be OK. No matter what I’m experiencing I’ll get the job done and follow through whatever it takes.

The word confidence originates from the Latin word “confidere” means to “trust” rely on completely

So if you are struggling to have confidence right now and follow through what you know is important to you, ask yourself the question “do I really trust myself enough?” and the root of not trusting yourself enough is, you have broken your word to yourself so many times, and or someone has broken their word to you  in the past, so the mind no longer believes what you say and therefore you’ve let yourself of the hook. Think all the times you’ve said I’m going to…. Then the moment it gets to hard you give up, distracted and every time you do this your mind programmes that emotion, locks it in so it no longer believes /trusts what you say.

To overcome you need to become a trustworthy person to yourself. Are you worthy enough? do you value yourself enough to stick to what you say you’ll do or need to do? Remember the little things are important to get done also, therefore value yourself and trust you. Make your words to you - law and that  you’ll get it done no matter what. Start to re-train your mind to believe what you say. Take back control in overcoming procrastination
